SCREENING TO PREVENT CERVICAL CANCER
Screening via liquid-based Pap and Human Papillomavirus (HPV) tests HPV is the leading cause of cervical cancer. High risk types 16 and 18 responsible for 70% of diagnosed cervical cancers. HPV tests identifies patients at a greater risk for cervical cancer. Together, Pap and HPV tests can be life saving.
HIGH RISK PAP PROFILE PROVIDES INSIGHT
A High Risk Pap Profile is recommended after an abnormal Pap Result: ASCUS, LSIL, or HSIL if high risk behaviors suggest necessity or after a positive result to the High Risk Subtypes HPV 16 & 18/45 test.
